| To configure and assign a switch access port to a VLAN, open a console connection to the switch and run the following IOS commands from interface configuration mode. mzeitounR1>enable
mzeitounR1#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
mzeitounR1(config)#interface fa0/1
mzeitounR1(config-if)#switchport mode access
mzeitounR1(config-if)#switchport access vlan 10
mzeitounR1(config-if)#exit
mzeitounR1(config)#interface fa0/10
mzeitounR1(config-if)#switchport mode access
mzeitounR1(config-if)#switchport access vlan 20
mzeitounR1(config-if)#exit
mzeitounR1(config)#exit
